I’m Kate - a tarot practitioner and sound healer with a professional background in psychotherapy.

I first learned tarot from my grandmother and in my twenties, I followed the tug of my heart into the alternative therapy world. I trained in energy work, shamanic practice, sound healing, yoga therapy and past life regression... amongst many other things.

​

I saw the shadow side of spirituality too though: dogma, ungrounded practices, unintegrated teachers, and spaces that were uncontained, even unsafe. In my early thirties I sought traditional therapy, trying to make sense of it all. 

 

What began as a curiosity about counselling became a five-year Integrative Psychotherapy MA, a private practice in London, and a career as a trauma specialist. 

 

​I was anchored in the rational therapeutic world and all my spiritual background, training and pursuits were a separate thing -  I didn't know how to bring my two worlds together.

​

I was in my early forties when I began to burn-out. I had been stuck in my head for years, unable to follow my deeper soul path.  I was ill, lost and depleted. For me, this was the inner call. 

 

​​​​​​I began a slow, winding return to my spiritual roots. Sound healing put me back in my body - my intuitive power source. Tarot connected me to my spiritual lineage and creativity. I was a seeker again  - myself again - only this time with all my therapeutic learning.

​

This led me to the psychospiritual approach I now offer with the tarot and the sacred drum. Spiritual exploration in a safe, therapeutic space. An integration of head and heart, psyche and soul.
