Therapeutic tarot

Tarot may bring to mind a psychic reader or fortune-teller, interpreting the cards for you. But I offer tarot a little differently - as a way to connect to the wisdom, power and creativity of your own intuition.

I offer a safe, grounded and therapeutic space to explore the spiritual wisdom of tarot. Rather than a one-sided reading, we explore the cards together, drawing on both the traditional meanings and how the imagery speaks to you.

It's a co-creative process: you, me and the universal guidance moving through the cards. â€‹â€‹â€‹

In my experience this is an empowering way to work with tarot - and one that leads to genuine change because it connects you to the deepest, wisest part of you: the inner fortune teller of your own intuition. A spiritual compass that will always show you the way.

Intuition communicates through imagery - which also happens to be the language of tarot: a deck of 78 illustrated cards showing all our human stories and struggles. And our resources and potential and magic.

Each card is layered with esoteric symbolism and meanings - but in therapeutic tarot we hold these lightly. We are led by intuition and what the imagery prompts, just as much as 'right' interpretations.

How it works:

Therapeutic tarot sessions take place online over Zoom where you have full view of the cards.

We start with a question - something you’re sitting with, needing clarity on or wanting support around. I draw your cards and we begin making connections between their meanings, which I offer, and where the imagery spontaneously  leads you.

Maybe the imagery reflects something you already know - or reveal a new insight just below awareness. Together we notice what the guidance might be. What your resources are. What the next steps forward could look like. We explore how the cards have answered your question.

Therapeutic tarot is neither psychotherapy nor a traditional tarot reading. Instead it's a unique integration of both - and my desire to empower others through intuitive practices.

My grandmother first taught me tarot as a teenager and over the years I've deepened my knowledge through various trainings, including the year-long Biddy Tarot accreditation course and the Tarosophy Tarot Association.
